I'm not really a fan of gambling, but I do find the mechanics of fruit machines and games of chance fascinating. Someone sent me a demo of a Fruit Machine game being developed for Android, and I thought I'd have a go at writing one of my own.

Eagle eyed viewers will have noticed that I am recycling my Dungeon Cards characters and most of the set from Hellbound. I figure I might as well get some mileage out of them.

This fruit machine has a slightly different playing mechanic. After a spin, you choose one of 10 'win lines' you want your Adventure character to travel over. As the Adventurer moves from reel to reel, they fight monsters, evade traps or collect gold. Fighting and Evading is done on the smaller set of reels with only 1 'win line'. If you win battles against monsters, you get their gold. If you lose battles or get caught in traps, you lose all the gold you've collected so far on that spin.
If you meet the Rogue character, you can gamble your current winnings with her.
